NORTH YORK (Sheppard Yonge) - Practical Philosophy Meetup 🇨🇦
🏛️ WHAT'S PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY ABOUT?
Practical Philosophy is a weekly meet-up that brings critical thinkers together for an opportunity to dive deep on a topic, practice communicating, and build a community. No ‘official’ philosophy knowledge is required! 😎
This initiative is based on the idea that philosophy should be accessible to everyone, not just academics. Each week, we choose a topic to explore through conversation, aiming to enhance our critical thinking and communication skills. 🙌
📓 HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each week, we select a topic for discussion, which is shared in the Whatsapp group along with prompts to kick off the conversation.
When the group exceeds 7-8 participants, we break into smaller groups to maintain a conversational flow rather than a lecture format.
