🕺 New Creation by Botis Seva

Experience the innovative movement of British dance phenomenon Botis Seva. Known for his unique fusion of hip-hop, breakdance, physical theatre, and contemporary styles, his new piece is inspired by the hierarchical complexities of the British boarding school system. Get ready for a powerful performance that strikes the perfect balance between intensity and vulnerability!

Botis Seva’s company, Far from the Norm, previously wowed audiences at the Göteborg Opera Dance Festival with their Olivier Award-winning performance, BLKDOG.

🕺 Cold Song by Marcos Morau

The evening continues with Cold Song, a creation by Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau, recognized as Choreographer of the Year by Tanz magazine for two consecutive years (2023 & 2024). This whimsical piece draws inspiration from an aria of Henry Purcell’s opera King Arthur. The dancers embody a cast of intriguing characters, set against a backdrop of a mysterious box filled with fantastical elements that enhance the transformation between reality and theatrical wonder.Cold Songhas already captured the interest of several major European venues prior to its world premiere! Don’t miss out on witnessing Morau’s previous acclaimed work,Rothko Chapel, the last time he performed in Gothenburg in 2017.
