Second Saturday Art: Cut Paper Portraits
Join artist Khrysta Papalini for a creative adventure this month! 🌈 On Saturday, August 8th, we will be making colorful self-portraits using vibrant patterned paper, scissors, and a dash of imagination.
Using a small mirror as a reference, you'll cut and arrange simple shapes to create a unique portrait that reflects your features in a fun and expressive way. Explore how artists simplify complex images into basic shapes while experimenting with color, composition, and creative expression.
There are no wrong answers—whether your portrait is realistic, abstract, or delightfully wacky! This is a free, come-and-go family event. The activity takes about 20-40 minutes to complete. Younger children may need a grown-up's help with cutting, and families are encouraged to create together!
Second Saturday Art is powered each month by AVB Bank, making these events fun and free for everyone!
