Vilbjørg Broch has been crafting algorithmic spatial audio works for over a decade, fostering her own tools to explore the depths of sound. Drawing from algebraic and geometric structures, the residency will involve recording sessions with spatial microphones, aiming to rethink our understanding of time, space, and sound.

As part of this artistic inquiry, the presentation will provide insights into initial explorations, inviting the audience to experience the residency’s innovative outcomes.

About Vilbjørg Broch:
Born in 1967, Vilbjørg possesses a rich background in postmodern dance, improvisation, and vocal performance. She studied at the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam and trained under esteemed coloratura soprano Marianne Blok. With around 20 years of computer music experience, she is keen on integrating new mathematical concepts into sound art.
