SIMULTAN Festival 2026: Against Resolution

Join us for the 21st edition of the SIMULTAN Festival, themed Against Resolution: Unfinished Thinking Undisciplined Art! 🤔 This year's festival explores the uncomfortable question: What do we lose when everything becomes perfect?

In a world where technology promises crystal-clear images and pure sounds, we celebrate friction, imperfection, and unfinished thinking as legitimate critical practices.

Since its inception in 2005, SIMULTAN has served as a platform for exploring new artistic territories—video art and sound experimentation in an evolving local scene. Now, 20 editions later, we shift our focus from how we use technology to how we think with it. 2026 is a year dedicated to building, connecting, and dialoguing among artists and theorists alike.

Expect exciting new co-productions, workshops for young artists, and for the first time, a publication documenting the festival's history through a transdisciplinary lens. 📚

This enlightening experience will take place at the MX – Corneliu Mikloși Museum, a space in transformation, from 24–27 September 2026 (side programs until 4 October).
