Wondering, “OK, but what IS knit painting?!” 🤔 Knit painting involves using the duplicate stitch technique on any knit piece to create images, text, or anything your heart desires! Check out some inspiring examples here, here, and here! 😊

This workshop is suitable for beginners! We begin with everything you need to know to craft your knitted masterpiece, as well as provide all necessary materials. If you’re eager to fill your life with creativity, our handmade communal art/craft table awaits you! ✂️✨

What to Expect?

At RecCreate, our clubs are designed to feel like a cozy gathering at a friend’s apartment! We take care of providing all the materials and guide you through the basics before the music starts to spin! 🎶 Our focus is on process, play, and building community, with engaging conversation prompts throughout the evening.

Venue Details

The venue is a unique art studio located at 20 Grand Ave, on the 6th floor of a commercial building in Brooklyn. To get here: buzz #604, push to open, and hop on the elevator to the 6th floor (make sure the button turns red!). Upon exiting the elevator, take a right and then a left at the end of the hallway; the door will be the first on your right.

• Cancellation Policy: Tickets for this event are non-refundable/exchangeable. Please check your calendar before purchasing. If you're unable to attend, feel free to give your ticket to a friend or swap it on our ticket swap board—just let them know to use your name!
