Join local designer and marketer Sarah Purvis for the very first Tap Talk, an approachable workshop designed for small business owners, nonprofits, event organizers, side hustlers, and anyone wanting to create better-looking marketing materials.

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to create a clean, effective flyer using the free version of Canva—no design experience required!

About Sarah:
Sarah has around 10 years of graphic design and marketing experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing with a Minor in Graphic Design from George Mason University. Throughout her career, she’s designed everything from brewery branding and event marketing to nonprofit campaigns, apparel, social media, and business advertising.

This isn’t about becoming a professional designer; it’s about learning a few simple principles that instantly make your designs look more polished and professional.

• Creating a flyer from scratch in the free version of Canva
• Understanding visual hierarchy (what people see first)
• Choosing fonts that work well together
• Creating balance using alignment and spacing
• Using color intentionally (instead of just your favorite colors)
