The Fire Circle: London Walk
Looking for work is hard. Not just practically, emotionally. The uncertainty, the rejection, the feeling that you should always be on. It takes more out of you than most people admit.
Fire Circle walks are a day for you.
We’ll meet at 10am at the kiosk on Ritz Corner in Green Park and spend the morning walking north - through Regent’s Park, up to Primrose Hill, finishing at Hampstead Heath. The route takes us through some of London’s most beautiful green spaces, and that’s deliberate. Something shifts when you’re walking side by side with someone rather than sitting across from them. Conversations go deeper. You can connect without the pressure of a “meeting”. The movement helps too.
The format is a half-day walk - roughly 6 miles over 4–5 hours, with natural stops built in along the way. At each stop, Josh will open up a conversation around a theme - what you’re looking for, what you’ve learned, what’s actually going on in your search. You share as much or as little as you want. Between stops, walk with whoever you end up next to and see what comes up. That’s where the real value tends to be.
Josh, founder of Intrinsic Talent, will be there throughout. He’ll add structure to the day and is happy to offer a recruiter’s perspective on your search if you’d find that useful. But this isn’t a recruitment event. It’s a chance to spend a morning with people who understand what you’re going through, in a setting that reminds you there’s more to life than your inbox.
This is for tech professionals who are actively looking for work, recently made redundant, or figuring out what’s next. Come as you are.
