🚂 Join us for an exciting Train Running Day! This public event invites you to witness our exquisite 1930s Gauge 0 model railway in action.
Held biannually at the Museum, Train Running Days feature fully operational locomotives on the stunning central 1930s Gauge 0 layout.
🌍 Theme of the Day: North of the Border to South of the Alps - a celebration of international rail travel! Enjoy iconic trains from LMS and LNER, as well as the Southern Railway, taking you on a scenic route across France and into Italy.
🏗️ The centerpiece of our collection, the Gauge 0 model railway layout, boasts three rails and showcases around 50 Gauge 0 locomotives and trains, all operational during this special event. The layout features buildings inspired by Brighton architecture, along with period-authentic trackside structures, providing a true glimpse of British life in the 1930s, all designed by Museum founder Chris Littledale.
