Welcome to Trash Wars: a thrilling citywide challenge where neighborhood cleanup clubs compete to tackle litter, inspire each other to raise the bar, and showcase that New Yorkers can achieve amazing feats driven by both community spirit and a sprinkle of irritation.
Join The Bushwick Trash Lady and The Trash Foundation, in collaboration with Artmageddon, as we kick off the inaugural chapter of Trash Wars and extend a challenge to the next community audacious enough to take the plunge!
For Episode I, the Bushwick Litter Pickers have been chosen as tribute.
We'll dive in with 30 minutes solely focused on collecting cigarettes, followed by another 30 minutes dedicated to picking up trash. We will then tally our collections to see the totals for each category! After that, the challenge will shift to the next group.
Special guest: Maddie Batzli will be gracing us with a performance!
