Explore how literature has conceptualized and represented the scientific across various epochs, from proto-scientific reflections to contemporary issues surrounding Big Tech and the implications of science in our lives.
We invite you to delve into themes such as:

  • The fears and hopes tied to scientific advancement
  • Financial entanglements in science
  • The ethics surrounding experimentation
  • Gendered perspectives in scientific discourse
  • The portrayal of science in literature and its metaphoric implications
  • Responses to major scientific revolutions
  • And much more!

We encourage doctoral candidates, as well as undergraduate and graduate students, to submit an abstract of 150-200 words along with a brief bio of 30-50 words to litandscience2026@gmail.com. 📧
Deadline for submissions: September 15, 2026
Notification of acceptance: by the end of September
Note: There is no conference fee.
