Vystoupily ze stínu: Adriena Šimotová

This lecture in the series Stepping Out of the Shadows, which profiles six female artists from the second half of the 20th century, will focus on Adriana Šimotová.

An artist who worked with impressions of her own body, paper, textiles, and glass, she created works that were both deeply personal and universal. We will take a closer look at her artistic development, her difficult life story, and her dialogue with the work of Jiří John, and we will show that extraordinary strength can be hidden in fragility. The lecture will be given by art historian Markéta Čejková.
