Winter on the Carry Exploration Event

Join us for the annual Winter on the Carry candlelight event at Fort Stanwix National Monument! 🎉 This enchanting experience showcases the winter traditions of 18th Century residents in the Mohawk Valley.

🕛 Daytime Activities: From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., explore the fort's uniquely decorated rooms.

🌙 Evening Festivities: Starting at 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., enjoy a magical candlelit experience with a holiday sing-along for everyone to join in the merriment! 🎶 Bring your family and friends for a cozy post-Thanksgiving evening.

👶 Children's Activities: Don’t miss the greeting card photo station and the Holiday Junior Ranger activity for kids and their families.

✨ “This event provides unique opportunities for winter visitors to see the fort illuminated as soldiers and their families would have remembered it,” says Park Ranger Kelly Cardwell.

🔦 Tips for Visitors: Dress warmly for the weather and bring a flashlight, as the fort may be dark and exposed to the elements.

🕯️ Decorations will remain until Saturday, December 14, giving you a chance to enjoy the festive atmosphere even if you can't make the event!
