Woodland Historic Tour
Explore the rich history of Woodland Cemetery, founded in 1841 and recognized as one of the oldest rural cemeteries in the United States. 🏛️
Join us as we visit the final resting places of notable individuals including the Wright Brothers, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Erma Bombeck, James Ritty, and many more famous Daytonians. Meet at the Eichelberger Plaza at the main gates of the cemetery. Parking is available both inside and outside the gates.
👟 Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle if needed. Tours will happen rain or shine, except in cases of thunder or lightning.
🌟 All tours require a reservation, and a suggested donation of $5 supports the Woodland Arboretum Foundation, focusing on the restoration and preservation projects to maintain Woodland as a cultural treasure for Dayton and Ohio.
