YMCA of Alaska Summer Hikes - Lower Winner Creek Trail in Girdwood

5. Where to Park: Parking lot at Alyeska near aerial tram
6. Parking Fee: $5.00 (or Alaska State Parks annual pass) - cash or credit card accepted.
7. Meeting Spot: Near the base of the Aerial Tram
8. Meetup Time: 5:30 pm
9. Hike Start Time: 5:45 pm

This scenic trail starts behind the Hotel Alyeska with the first ¾ mile consisting of a wide boardwalk, followed by 1.5 miles through lush northern rainforest. Experience the breathtaking Winner Creek Gorge, where the river rushes into a 15-foot rock channel beneath a wooden bridge. Feel the thunder of the water and enjoy the captivating views! 🌊🌲

Note: The Hand Tram is closed as of 2023. Make sure to dress in layers, and pack water, snacks, a map, bear spray, and a charged cell phone! 📱
