⛵ Youth Sail Racing Clinic

Join us for an exciting Youth Sail Racing Clinic designed for enthusiastic sailors aged 18-28 who want to gain experience on larger racing yachts! 🌊

What to Expect:

• Full-Crew Youth Training: Up to 8 participants per session (first come, first served!)
• Three Engaging Evenings: Meet up at 17:30 and embark at 18:00; return by 21:00.

Session Focus:

1. Sail Selection & Maneuvers - Learn efficient sail changes and rounding techniques.
2. Sail Trim - Master the art of trimming for various points of sail, including upwind and downwind.
3. Starting Procedures - Get ready for the critical moments of the race! 🏁

Course Inclusions:

• Use of the Diva 399 yacht, equipped with all necessary gear.
• Access to PredictWind and Navionics for navigation.
• Course literature from RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and a starting timer.

What to Bring:

• Your own life jacket
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• A personal water bottle
• If you have a starting/watch timer, feel free to bring it along! ⌚

Prerequisites:

Prior sailing experience is essential! While coming from a dinghy background is beneficial, it's not mandatory. You’ll be a step closer to mastering keelboat racing!

Meet Your Coach - Madeleine:

With over 15 years of racing experience, Madeleine has a rich background in sailing. She has coached both adults and youth on various racing yachts, participated in prestigious races across the globe, and holds multiple medals and accolades. 🤩

Diva 399 Est! Est!! Est!!! is a beautifully designed 40 ft performance cruiser from 1992, known for its sharp Scandinavian lines and robust racing capabilities. Equipped with various control lines and a complete sail wardrobe, it’s the ideal platform to enhance your racing skills!
