Highlands Lodge: The Owl Route

Join us for the breathtaking Owl Trail, where you'll experience stunning views of the Hops Valley and the majestic Klein Karoo, surrounded by the Swartberg Mountain Range to the North and the Indian Ocean to the South. 🦉

This challenging hike features an elevation gain of 480 meters over a distance of 4 km, reaching a summit of 1155 meters above sea level. As you make your way up the mountain, keep your eyes peeled for the Cape Eagle Owl breeding pair, Klipspringer, and Mountain Duiker. Along the way, you'll reach your first viewpoint at 1.25 km! ✨

Optional items to bring: Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, buffs, and coffee. ☕
