About the event

Join us as Indigenous artists from across Australia unite for the National Indigenous Art Fair (NIAF) 2026! Held from 3โ€“5 July at The Cutaway, Barangaroo, this vibrant art market is a key part of the celebrations for NAIDOC Week.

The Fair is an ethical marketplace, showcasing an opportunity to purchase artworks directly from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists representing community-owned art centres from the Northern Territory, South Australia, and Western Australia. ๐ŸŒโœŠ

In line with the 2026 National NAIDOC theme, 50 Years of Deadly, NIAF 2026 presents a rich program featuring live music, dance performances, large-scale installations, moving image works, and weaving circlesโ€”an exceptional celebration of Blak excellence in one of Sydneyโ€™s most distinctive cultural venues ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’ƒ.

Special Highlights:

  • Opening Night on Friday 3 July, offering exclusive early access to art and the chance to connect with artists.
  • A group of inspiring Ambassadors including Rachel Perkins, Dennis Golding, Alison Page, Jazz Money, Sebastian Goldspink, and Daniel Browning.
  • An esteemed curatorium of First Nations curators guiding the program: Emily McDaniel (Talks), Miah Madden (Living Room), Rebecca Ray (Installation), and Kaleena Briggs (Music) ๐ŸŽค.

Presented by First Hand Solutions Aboriginal Corporation in partnership with Destination NSW and multiple esteemed sponsors, this Fair also supports the economic and professional development of over 100 artists through the Heart in Art program.
