Carolina Reaper Challenge

🌶️ Welcome to the Annual Carolina Reaper Challenge! Get ready for an exciting twist on four exhilarating distances: 50k, full marathon, half marathon, and 5-mile! 🌟 This event is perfect for both first-time finishers and seasoned competitors alike, beckoning those brave enough to take on the summer heat.

Just like our popular Snowbird Challenge, participants will tackle a 2.62-mile loop in a 45-minute time format, racing solo or in teams. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Expect spacious areas to spread out between laps, along with plenty of water and refreshing ice to stay cool! We encourage everyone to bring a bag of ice for our community kitty pool, complete with soaked towels to help cool off between laps. ❄️💦

Join us for one of over 30 events throughout the year, traversing the beautiful landscapes of Upstate South Carolina—from Lake Hartwell to the Foothill Mountain Range, covering the stunning State Parks and the vibrant streets of Anderson, Greenville, Travelers Rest, and Spartanburg. There’s a challenge waiting for every level of runner! 🌄
