Egg Basket with a Polish Asymmetric Border Willow Weaving Workshop

🌟 Join us for a delightful day of basket weaving! 🌟
Tutor: Jane Welsh
On this one-day workshop, you will have the opportunity to create a stunning egg-shaped basket, perfect for light shopping, storing pegs, picking fruit, or even collecting eggs! 🥚🛒
We will use a traditional base with waled, randed, or slewed sides, featuring a bow handle and an asymmetric top inspired by Polish designs. A variety of vibrant natural willows will be provided for you to choose from. 🌿
This course is beginner-friendly, and all necessary equipment will be supplied. Tea & Coffee will be available throughout the day for a small donation. ☕

Cost: £60.00 + £10 for materials (due to the tutor on the day).

  About Jane:
  With 24 years of basket making experience, Jane has been professionally teaching for the last 14 years. Passionate about preserving traditional rural crafts, she aims to inspire others to work with sustainable materials like willow and rush. Her background in arts and crafts, combined with her love for basket making, began under the mentorship of renowned Gloucestershire basket maker Sheila Wynter. Notably, she won 3rd prize in the Basketry of the Year Award in 2022! 🏆
