🗓️ The exhibition showcases brand new pieces created during a winter filled with experimentation and exploration of techniques, blending painterly styles with collage on canvas. Don’t miss the mesmerizing textile artwork inspired by Årikstad’s recent travels to the beautiful locales of Naples and Ischia.

🖼️ Årikstad’s artistic journey reflects influences likened to Paul Thek’s artistic retreat in Ponza, interpreting unique environments through a multifaceted approach to sculpture and assemblage. His diverse practice includes painting, sculpture, collage, drawing, installation, and video, inviting viewers to ponder significant questions within a non-hierarchical framework.

🌊 The exhibition aligns with MLAG’s 2026 thematic focus, A Blue House of Care, which explores hydro-aesthetic perspectives and future visions of water.

Throughout his career, Årikstad has exhibited at several renowned venues including the Norwegian Sculptors Society, Prosjektrom Carl Berner, and the Autumn Exhibition. Based in Kristiansand, he also manages the exhibition space PALASS (KRS) and has contributed significantly to the national art scene through his jury work.
