About Haranni Umakanthan:
An acclaimed dance artist and choreographer based in Oslo with roots in Tamil Eelam, they explore healing through movement, text, and voice. Haranni’s artistic practice draws from diverse influences like Bharatanatyam, improvisation, and contact improvisation. Their work delves into critical themes including decolonization, intersectionality, gender, sexuality, and culture while focusing on audience engagement.
