BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat)
📍 Where & When
Cadman Park Plaza (Look for the yellow Yoga Club flag!)
Gathering starts at 6:30pm. Practice begins once the space fills, about 15–20 minutes after, and runs for an hour. Cchmooze to follow.
🌿 What to Expect
We're a club, not a class. Come as you are, say hello to the people around you, and settle in.
Our Vinyasa practices are for all levels and run about an hour. Expect to move and breathe through an energizing set of standing postures and rejuvenating poses on the ground.
We understand that life happens. Sometimes that means showing up late, in your PJs, or both. We leave some time at the beginning of our meetings to ease in and socialize.
🍕 After Yoga
Stick around. There will be free pizza and socializing afterwards.
📵 Your Phone
Touching Grass means stepping away from digital distractions.
We ask that you don't use your phone during the gathering. We don't take phones away. You can use yours for emergencies or step away from the group if you need to. We just ask everyone to follow the honor system.
It helps people slow down and stay present.
⭐ Our Instructor
Dan Sohval came to yoga seeking ways to build inner discipline and mental balance. He is the founder of Yoga Club. A lifelong educator, he brings to his instruction the same humor and curiosity that guides his teaching in the classroom. He received his 200-hour certification at VeraYoga with additional training in yin and trauma-informed practices. Off the mat, he is a published author, teaches computer science, and is an avid fan of Korean food.
💫 About Yoga Club
We bring people together through high quality, affordable yoga and community. We meet in creative spaces around the city to move, breathe, and meet new people.
