About the event

Welcome to Meetup #63! 🎉
This event is hosted by our new SwedenCpp Pro Partner, the Swedish compiler and embedded tools vendor IAR. Thank you, IAR, for supporting the local C++ developer community!

Since Uppsala is a bit out of the way, we're holding the event at a location in Kista. Another premiere, and I am very excited!

The program:

  • Doors open: 17:30
  • 18:00 - 18:15: Intro, event host presentation, C++ news, and a quiz
  • 18:15 - 18:50: Henrik, "From Prompt to Probe - Closing the Agentic AI Loop on Bare Metal"
  • 18:50 - 20:00: Casual mingling and networking with refreshments 🍕🥤🤝
  • 20:00 - 20:45: Jonas, "Making Every Byte Count"

The program in detail:

Henrik Fransson: From Prompt to Probe - Closing the Agentic AI Loop on Bare Metal
What if AI could do more than suggest code, and actually drive hardware-in-the-loop test cycles on real systems? This talk looks under the hood of a practical agentic AI workflow for embedded C++ development. By giving AI agents access to schematics, datasheets, and debug probes, we create a closed-loop system where the AI builds, flashes, tests, and iterates based on on-target feedback.

Jonas Persson: Making Every Byte Count
This talk will address some of the ways a compiler toolchain can satisfy the special needs of small, memory-constrained embedded systems. We will talk about features in the IAR embedded compiler and linker to control memory, and then cover how the optimizer makes your program smaller.
