Join us for a screening of 3 Questions About the Sea Eating the River, an ethnographic short film exploring the colonial legacies of infrastructural violence affecting the Indus River Delta. 🌊
About the Film:
On the coast of Sindh, Pakistan, a sacred river is being consumed by the sea. Guided by a fishing community, three friends trace the shrinkages and ruptures of a dying ecology. As they journey upstream along a dismembered river, a haunting colonial past looms.
Event Details:
The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the director Aiman Rizvi and producers Ali Samoo & Fizza Qureshi, who are all engaged in ecological rights issues in Pakistan through academia, journalism, and climate advocacy. The discussion will be moderated by Kaleemullah Bashir.
