Originally, he aimed to capture this era through singles and his 2022 EP, The Art Of Joy. However, he found inspiration in the mandolin, leading to a careful balance on Monster. The album features a mix of rousing instrumentals, reflective ballads, and rejuvenating jams, showcasing the spectrum of human experience.

Now at 40, Grammer's songs encapsulate the beauty and ugliness of life, culminating in the heartfelt track “Friends And Family,” where he emphasizes that life’s meaning lies in the connections we cherish.
