Be among the first to hear Floex Ensemble’s new album at Studio Martínek and meet its authors!

The new album Directors by Floex and Jan Šikl, performed by Floex Ensemble, was recorded at Studio Martínek. While its official release isn't until this autumn, with the album launch concert scheduled for 8 November at Archa+, you'll have the unique opportunity to hear it on 20 August at this year's first Audiophile Session - nearly two months before its official release - while the album's authors share the stories behind the music, all through the high-end monitoring system in our control room.

The evening will once again be hosted by Dan Sywala (ČT art, Czech Radio Jazz, Full Moon). This moderated listening session will alternate between tracks from the album and a conversation with its authors, offering behind-the-scenes stories about the music and insights into the recording process. With only a very limited audience, the event offers a rare opportunity to experience the album in an intimate setting and enjoy informal conversations with its authors.

About Directors<br>
Directors is the new collaborative album by Floex and Jan Šikl, bringing together the world of analog synthesizers with the rich timbre of an acoustic sextet. This conceptual work explores different ways of perceiving reality and the creative process through a series of imaginary "directors," each representing a distinct perspective on the world and on music.

Through the six musicians of Floex Ensemble, the project demonstrates how instrumental music can be deeply emotional and full of dramatic turns, how electronics can unfold with orchestral scope, and how classical music can carry an unexpected sense of momentum and immediacy.
