Band saws are perfect for crafting curves and intricate shapes in wood, along with tasks like ripping lumber, resawing, and cutting joints. However, safety first! It's mandatory to complete a comprehensive training course at Bitraf to operate a band saw.
While band saws are generally safer than table saws, they still require serious attention given they feature moving blades. Expect noise while cutting and be aware that, despite having a lower risk of kickback, proper handling is crucial. This course will equip you with the skills to use the band saw safely.

• These courses fill up quickly! If you can’t attend after signing up, please RSVP 'no' as soon as possible to open your spot for someone else.
• The course starts promptly at 16:00 in the wood workshop. Feel free to arrive early for coffee, but be punctual to receive crucial information required for certification to use the machines.
• Participation requires a paid membership with Bitraf. Please join Bitraf here before signing up for the course.
• The course begins with a group theory session, followed by hands-on training. By the end, you'll be granted access to the 'TOOLS' system, enabling you to confidently use the band saw.
