Beginner-Friendly Lesson Series: Ballroomin' with Lindy & Brenda

🌟 Join us for a fantastic lesson series perfect for those new to Blues dancing or looking to explore the Ballrooming' side! 🎶

This series will prepare you to dance to the Ballroomin' music at North Star Blues, especially from our Saturday live bands! Your instructors this month are Brenda Mora-Pallares and Lindy Bowen.

We'll focus on Blues dances that originated in ballrooms and dance halls, where dancers had more space to move and showcase their style. These dances often coexisted with swing dances like Lindy Hop, sharing the same venues and audiences. Notable ballrooms include the Savoy in NYC, the Graystone in Detroit, and the Parkway & Chicago Savoy in Chicago.

Ballroomin' Blues dances are characterized by their travel around the dance floor, featuring more swing and sway. 🕺💃

📍 Location: North Dale Recreation Center, 1414 St Albans St N, St Paul, MN 55117-4107, United States. Just a 5-minute drive from The Blues Saloon, where you can practice your skills at a free Blues jam every Tuesday until 11 PM!
