Originating from members of the French death and black metal bands DISHUMANIZED, DARKNESS FIRE, and OSGILIATH, BENIGHTED formed in 1998 to forge a heavier, modern sound. Their self-titled debut album released in 2000 made a lasting impression, transforming a side project into a headline act.

A quickly-growing fanbase blossomed with acclaimed albums like “Psychose” (2002), “Insane Cephalic Production” (2004), “Identisick” (2006), and “Icon” (2007), all receiving rave reviews.

After exploring new sonic territories with “Asylum Cave” (2011) and “Carnivore Sublime” (2014), the band returned to their roots with “Necrobreed” (2017). Celebrating their 20th anniversary, BENIGHTED captured the essence of live madness in their 2018 release “Dogs Always Bite Harder Than Their Master”.

Now, ready to carve their path with “Obscene Repressed” once again delving into the depths of the human psyche, this album narrates the story of young Michael battling his demons stemming from unresolved Oedipal issues with his mother. It's pure and unadulterated brutality! ⚔️
