With a remarkable discography of over 58 albums, Bob has been a pivotal figure in contemporary jazz for more than 50 years. Discovered by Quincy Jones in 1963, he has collaborated with iconic artists like Roberta Flack, David Sanborn, and Earl Klugh.

Bob is perhaps best known for his composition “Angela,” the instrumental theme from the sitcom Taxi, and his music has significantly influenced both jazz and hip-hop, with tracks like “Nautilus” and “Take Me to the Mardi Gras” being among the most sampled in hip-hop history.
