Cape Fear River Run 10k/Half Marathon/River Rage

Welcome back to the third iteration of the Cape Fear River Run! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ This exciting race offers three options:

• 10k
• Half Marathon
• River Rage Challenge (run both!)

Both races will feature unique routes along the beautiful, paved Cape Fear River Trail. The start and finish line will be at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. 🌳 On-course support will be available, and please note that pets are not allowed at this event.

VIP Experience 🌟

Enhance your race day with a VIP experience! This includes:

• Private heated tent for VIPs only
• VIP-only refreshments
• Bag storage
• VIP line for early packet pick-up

Limited to 35 entrants.

Race Details 🏅

• 10k Route: Part of the Linear Park Trail and Cape Fear River Trail, passing under one trail trestle. Aid station at the turnaround point (2.83 miles). Race cutoff is 8:30 AM (90 minutes) at a 14:29 minute mile pace.
• Half Marathon Route: 13.35 miles, traversing the Cape Fear River Trail, passing under two covered trestles and a waterfall. Aid at Clark Park (3.1 and 10.37 miles) and turnaround point (6.78 miles). Race cutoff is 11:30 AM (3:15 hours) at a 14:52 minute mile pace.

River Rage Challenge 🏆

For those seeking an extra challenge, complete both races! Start with the 10k, then race the Half Marathon for a bonus challenge medal! If you finish the 10k before the Half starts (8:15 AM), just wait to start with the crowd. If you finish after the Half starts, continue running.

Medals & Bibs 🎖️

After completing your race(s), visit the medal tent near the finish line to collect your unique medal! Each race will have distinct bibs to identify your participation.

Race Schedule 📅

• Saturday, Nov 7:

  • 12-4 PM: Packet Pickup at TBD (VIPs have a separate line with prepackaged items)
  • Race Registration Closes at Midnight (No race day registration!)

• Sunday, Nov 8:

  • Parking at the Botanical Garden: 536 N Eastern Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28301 (Volunteers will direct you)
  • 6 AM: Packet Pick-up opens (Closes at 7:45 AM)
  • 6 AM: VIP tent opens
  • 7 AM: 10k and River Rage Starts
  • 7:50 AM: Top 4 10k awards
  • 8 AM: Half Marathon Starts
  • 9:45 AM: Top 4 Half Marathon awards
  • 11:30 AM: Course closes

Use your race bib or finisher medal for access to tour the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, which closes at 5 PM. 🌼
