With 2026 firmly scheduled, we're excited to announce our next enchanting production for 2027: Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific!
Set against the backdrop of an island paradise during World War II, this timeless musical tells the story of Ensign Nellie Forbush, an optimistic nurse from Arkansas who finds love with French planter Emile de Becque. As she grapples with her upbringing and prejudices, Nellie is faced with a heart-wrenching choice. Meanwhile, Lt. Joe Cable also confronts his own fears as he falls for a Tonkinese girl named Liat, adding layers of complexity to this beautiful narrative.
Based on James Michener’s Tales of the South Pacific, this classic first graced Broadway on April 7, 1949, at the Majestic Theatre, solidifying its place in American musical history.
South Pacific has received numerous accolades, including the esteemed 1950 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and ten Tony Awards, affirming its status as one of Broadway's greats.
