Community Picnic with Seattle Women in Climate (SWiC)

Join us for a casual gathering to celebrate the third birthday of Seattle Women in Climate (SWiC)! 🌱 This event is a potluck-style picnic for women-identifying and nonbinary individuals passionate about climate change. Expect informal conversations and outdoor activities in a relaxed atmosphere.

What to Bring:

• Food/Beverages: Shareable snacks or drinks are welcome! Please label items with ingredients and allergens if possible. Not able to bring something? No worries, we’d still love to see you! 🍽️
• Plates/Utensils/Cups: Bring your own reusable items to help reduce waste. We’ll have a few paper plates and single-use utensils available. ♻️
• Seating: Blankets and chairs are encouraged for a comfy picnic experience. The more, the merrier! 🪑
• Outdoor Activities: Bring along any games or crafts you’d like to share! We’ll provide frisbee, spike ball, and bocce. 🎾

Where to Find Us:

We’ll be at Volunteer Park, near the Volunteer Park Amphitheater. Look for SWiC leaders in party hats to check you in! 🎈

Transportation:

• Light Rail: The closest stop is Capital Hill, about a 20-minute walk away.
• Bus: Several lines (10, 49, 9, 12) drop you off closer to the park.
• Driving: Carpooling is recommended, with street parking available nearby. 🚗

We are a local group uniting women-identifying individuals across Greater Seattle who care about sustainability and community building. Our events are designed to spark curiosity, foster connections, and make climate action accessible and enjoyable. 🌍
