🌟 Welcome to the CI-Lab with Anna Thu Schmidt!
Join us for an engaging workshop on Contact Improvisation on Friday, 18 September 2026 from 17:00 to 20:00 at DansiT, Strandveien 33, Trondheim.

Are you new to contact improvisation and eager to learn more? Or perhaps you're experienced and looking to refine your technique? This workshop is perfect for you!

What to Expect:

• An intensive 3-hour workshop diving deep into contact improvisation.
• Introduction to contact improvisation, technical skills for safe practice, and a playful approach to themes like:
  • Rolling point of contact
  • Giving/receiving/sharing weight
  • Leading and following
  • Lifting and flying

We will start with a warm-up focusing on bodywork and awareness, introducing touch and listening through body surfaces. Movement tasks will serve as tools for exploring bodily communication with your partner(s). We will conclude with an open jam to play with what you've learned and discover your own dance!

Who Can Join:
Contact improvisation is for all movement enthusiasts—no prior dance experience is required!

• Price: 150-555 NOK (Sliding scale)
• Drop-in price must be paid upon arrival before the workshop via Vipps 48668556 or cash. The sliding scale allows you to pay according to your financial situation, enabling others to pay less if you can afford more.

Additional Details:

• Doors open 15 minutes before the event and will close at the start.
• Tea will be provided.

About the Instructor:
Anna Thu Schmidt is a dance artist passionate about dance improvisation, interdisciplinary collaborations, and integrated dance. She holds a B.A. in Dance in Education and an M.A. in Dance Studies. Anna leads ImproDans Trondheim and has initiated various dance projects in the area.
