Discover an exhilarating collaboration brought to you by Ideal Jazz! Cosmic Ear is a powerful fusion of free jazz, spiritual improvisation, and global rhythms, creating a unique musical experience that is rooted in the moment.

With influences drawn from the rich tradition of creative and spiritual jazz, they produce sounds that are both raw and meditative, earthly yet cosmic. Featuring some of Europe’s most uncompromising jazz artists: Christer Bothén, Mats Gustafsson, Goran Kajfes, Juan Romero, and Kansan Zetterberg. This ensemble builds upon the legacy of Don Cherry and free jazz, while looking towards new tones, structures, and states of being.

Their music flows seamlessly between African and South American rhythms, Nordic folk tunes, free improvisation, live electronics, and brass explosions. With instruments like the donsongoni, berimbau, flutes, saxophones, trumpet, and percussion, they create an intense, organic, and deeply resonant expression.
