CUP OF CUPS: CERAMIC THROWDOWN

Join the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft for the exciting Cup of Cups—a thrilling, high-energy wheel-throwing competition! 🏺✨ This event celebrates the artistry, speed, and creativity of ceramicists as they take on a series of elimination rounds inspired by Houston's hosting of seven world championship soccer matches. ⚽️

Ceramic artists of all skill levels will compete in four rounds, showcasing their throwing abilities before a live audience and distinguished judges, including artists Jeff Forster, Abi Ogle, Angel Oloshove, and Meghan Rutzebeck. 🏆💫

Spectators are welcome to cheer on their favorite potters and celebrate the vibrant ceramics community in Houston. The competition promises challenges that highlight precision, intuition, and imagination at the wheel! 🎨💪 At the conclusion, judges will announce the top competitors during a lively closing ceremony in the galleries.
