About the event

Join us for a captivating film screening of 'Tantura' - the village they don’t want you to remember.

🎥 About the Movie:
In the tumult of the 1948 war, many Palestinian villages were left depopulated, marking a significant period in the formation of the modern Middle East. While Israelis refer to this as the War of Independence, Palestinians call it the Nakba — the Catastrophe.
'Tantura' sheds light on one village and explores the concealed allegations of a massacre executed by Israeli forces, as well as the persistent efforts to erase it from collective memory. Through recently discovered testimonies, archival recordings, and the poignant recollections of victims and perpetrators alike, this film poses critical questions about why the Nakba remains a contentious issue in Israeli society and what this silence signifies for history, memory, and national identity.
