HOLLOWAY dives into the stories of six women who bravely return to the now-deserted Holloway Prison, once the largest women's prison in Europe. In a women's circle, they share their most intimate experiences, revealing the circumstances that led them to incarceration. This powerful documentary paints a striking portrait of systemic failures and trauma, while showcasing the remarkable healing power of sisterhood.
🎥 Directors’ Biographies:
- Sophie Compton: A BIFA and Emmy-nominated documentary director and producer, Sophie focuses on women's stories of injustice and healing, driving substantial cultural impact through her works.
- Daisy-May Hudson: A BAFTA Breakthrough and Grierson & BIFA-nominated writer/director. Her debut feature documentary HALF WAY explored her family's journey through homelessness. Her narrative feature LOLLIPOP received critical acclaim and will soon be aired on the BBC.
