Join us for DUDE-ARELLA: Akttegning med Calum - a captivating live art event that intertwines elements of vintage sci-fi, drawing inspiration from iconic films such as Barbarella, Forbidden Planet, and 2001: A Space Odyssey! 🚀

Presented by the talented Calum Macniven, a queer artist from East London, recognized for his work featured in Dazed and as a participant on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. 🎭 Calum draws upon the beauty of queer bodies, along with innovative costuming and set design, utilizing sustainable materials for an eco-friendly experience.

During this unique class, witness DUDE-ARELLA, portrayed by a skilled performance artist clad in stunning couture designed by a London costumier. 📸 As DUDE-ARELLA strikes various poses across different scenes, participants will be encouraged to explore the diverse forms and scenery through techniques that range from intricate detail work to abstract mark-making.

Expect a treasure trove of materials to be provided in each session, all either sustainably sourced or handcrafted. ✏️ Each participant will receive an assortment of papers to create upon, along with essential drawing tools, which include pencils, charcoal, chinagraph, and a few delightful surprises throughout the event. Outdoor boards will also be available to work on.

No previous experience is necessary, and attendees with all skill levels are welcome—everyone will receive an equitable amount of feedback! 🙌
