Join us for an insightful talk by Emily Yellin, a contributor to the New York Times and coauthor of the posthumous memoir of Rev. James Lawson Jr. 🌍

Rev. Lawson, a peer of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and mentor to Congressman John Lewis and the Freedom Riders, played a pivotal role in the nonviolent resistance movement that transformed the world.

Nonviolent offers an intimate self-portrait of Lawson, highlighting his recognition of the inherent dignity of every individual and his challenge against all forms of violence. Historian Jonathan Eig, author of King: A Life, describes it as, “This book is a gift to be treasured, from a man who has already given so much.” 📚
