Synopsis:
Abandoned by her mother, 13-year-old Maria is thrust into a new life with her grandmother in a stark industrial town. A chance encounter during a street confrontation introduces her to Kristina, a girl her age with dreams of becoming a fashion model. Eager to get closer to Kristina, Maria enrolls in a mysterious modeling school where the atmosphere is unusually intense, preparing for the region’s largest casting event. As Maria navigates her complex relationship with Kristina and the cult-like environment of the school, she embarks on a profound journey of self-discovery. 🌟

Director’s Bio:
Saulė Bliuvaitė, an emerging Lithuanian director, screenwriter, and editor, made her mark with her award-winning works. A graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, her debut feature, TOXIC, premiered at the internationally acclaimed Locarno Film Festival, winning the prestigious Golden Leopard and earning multiple accolades. 🏆
