🩺 First Aid for Babies & Children: CPR & Choking (English)

A hands-on first aid course in English, designed specifically for parents, caregivers, babysitters, and anyone who spends time with young children. Led by Marianne Mogensen, a certified first aid instructor, physiotherapist, ergonomics teacher, and motor skills instructor — with a background that also includes serving as a sergeant in the Danish Civil Defense and passing her firefighter exam. 👩‍⚕️

📋 What You'll Learn

This course covers everything you need to confidently respond in an emergency involving a baby or child (ages 0–8 years):

• 🔄 The 4 steps of first aid
• 🫀 Assessing consciousness and breathing
• 💪 CPR for babies (0–12 months) and children (1–8 years) — practiced thoroughly in small groups using special Junior & Baby CPR manikins
• 🔃 Recovery position
• ⚡ How to use an AED
• 🍽️ Prevention of and first aid for choking — practiced thoroughly!
• 🦠 Recognizing signs of serious infection
• 🤕 Falls, burns, and external corrosive injuries
• ☠️ Poisoning and internal corrosive injury
• 🌡️ Fever cramps and other types of seizures

💡 The instructor brings her extensive experience as a health professional to every session, ensuring both solid theory and plenty of hands-on practice.

🎟️ Registration & Practical Info

• Registration is per adult (18+) and is binding
• 👶 Babies (0–12 months) are welcome at no extra charge — though you may find it easier to focus without one!
• 🤰 Pregnant? You're very welcome!
• 🧑‍🍼 Babysitters & Au pairs — contact Marianne in advance to arrange a diploma
• 💑 Couples: Purchase one full-price ticket + one discounted partner ticket. You may attend different sessions on the same day — use the same name when booking so you can take turns with childcare

Please bring:

• 🧘 A yoga mat or similar
• 🔒 A lock for your stroller
• 🍎 Snacks

A confirmation email with practical details will be sent a few days before the course.

⚠️ If the instructor becomes ill or if new restrictions are imposed by authorities, the course will be cancelled. You will be offered a new date or a full refund.
