Fred Armisen is a comedian, writer, producer, and musician. He is known for his work on IFC’s Emmy-nominated series Portlandia and currently stars as Uncle Fester in Netflix's Wednesday. Armisen also stars in HBO’s Los Espookys, which he co-wrote and executive produced, and can be heard in the animated Super Mario Bros movie.

He is the creator and star of IFC’s Documentary Now and has appeared in HBO’s Our Flag Means Death, Judd Apatow’s The Bubble, and Amazon’s Forever. Additionally, he voices characters in Big Mouth and The Mitchells vs. The Machines. Currently, he is starring in the Broadway play All In and is an 11-season veteran of Saturday Night Live. From 2014-2024, Armisen was the band leader of the 8G Band on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
