HADRIANS WALL HALF MARATHON WALK 2026

🏛️ Join Us for the 6th Annual Hadrian’s Wall Half Marathon! 🏛️
Mark your calendars for an unforgettable journey through history and nature! This acclaimed event will take place on Saturday, 10th October (Walking) and Sunday, 11th October (Running), 2026.

📅 Event Details:

• Start & Registration:
  Housesteads Roman Fort, Hadrians Wall, Hexham, NE47 6NN
• Finish:
  Tyne Green Country Park, Hexham, NE46 3HR

🏁 Distance:

• Half Marathon – 13.5 miles
  Open to both walkers and runners!

🗺️ Scenic Route:
Commencing at the historic Housesteads Roman Fort, this trail follows the splendid Hadrian’s Wall Trail Path for 6 miles. Runners will then descend to Newbrough, navigating through enchanting woodlands before heading onto the flat Tyne Riverside Trail Path, culminating at Tyne Green Country Park in Hexham.

🚌 Shuttle Bus:
This is an A-B event. Don’t forget to book your shuttle bus to the start or arrange your drop-off at Housesteads.

🎒 Bag Drop:
A convenient bag drop service will be available during registration to ensure your belongings are safely transported to the finish.

🐶 Cani-cross Friendly:
Bring your well-controlled dog along! Each participant may bring one dog on a lead.

🕤 Start Times:
Staggered starts from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Groups of 75-100 will set off at intervals to ensure smooth flow and protect the historic site.

⏱️ Timing:
Live chip-timing managed by Timing Up North for accurate results!
