HADRIANS WALL HALF MARATHON RUN 2026

🏛️ Hadrian’s Wall Half Marathon – 2026 (6th Annual Event!) 🏛️
Join us for the exhilarating 6th edition of the Hadrian’s Wall Half Marathon in 2026! This challenging trail event will lead you through some of the most historic and picturesque landscapes in the UK.

📅 Event Dates:

• Walk: Saturday, 10th October
• Run: Sunday, 11th October

📍 Event Locations:

• Start & Registration: Housesteads Roman Fort, Hadrian’s Wall, Hexham, NE47 6NN
• Finish: Tyne Green Country Park, Hexham, NE46 3HR

🏁 Distance:

• Half Marathon – 13.5 miles
• Open to both walkers (Saturday) and runners (Sunday)

🗺️ Route:
Begin at the historic Housesteads Roman Fort, following the renowned Hadrian’s Wall Trail Path for 6 miles. Runners will then descend to Newbrough, passing through charming woodland to the Tyne Riverside Trail Path. The final 5 miles are flat, bringing you into Hexham, with the finish line set in Tyne Green Country Park.

🚌 Shuttle Bus:
Book your shuttle bus to the start point, or arrange your own transport to Housesteads.

🎒 Bag Drop:
A bag drop service will be available at registration, ensuring all bags are transported to the finish line.

🐶 Cani-cross Friendly:
Participate with one well-controlled dog per runner. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

🕤 Start Times:
Staggered starts will occur between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Participants will set off in groups of 75–100 to preserve the historic site and minimize congestion.

⏱️ Timing:
Experience live chip-timing provided by Timing Up North!
