About the event
Join historian and scandal enthusiast Alan Townsend for an immersive walking tour that delves into the fascinating history of Colonial Kempton! 🏛️💼 This adventure covers the intriguing tales of three remarkable individuals: Eliza Murphy, William Henry Ellis, and Jane Baird Hadden Johnson.
What to Expect:
- Total Distance: Approximately 7km with various engaging stops
- Devonshire Tea at the Old Kempton Distillery (includes a building tour) 🍵🏭
- Visit the beautifully preserved St Mary's Anglican Church, showcasing convict-built architecture and an astounding graveyard 🕊️
- Tour of Glebe House, with tea, soup, and sandwiches 🍽️
- Conclude at Longsdale Homestead, walking by the picturesque Green Ponds Rivulet and the original elm-lined driveway 🌳
Refreshments: Morning tea, light lunch, and afternoon tea included! 🎉
Cost: $45.00 per person 💰
Difficulty: A fairly easy walk with numerous stops, mostly level.
