Since their formation in 2013 in Metro Detroit, Michigan, the metalcore/post-hardcore band I Prevail has achieved remarkable success with both critics and fans. Their debut album Lifelines (2016) achieved gold status in the USA and Canada, and TRAUMA (2019) repeated that success in Canada. This album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album, while the single “Bow Down” contended for Best Metal Performance. Their latest album TRUE POWER from 2022 showcased their commitment to forging their own musical path, defying genre expectations.

Now, with their fourth album Violent Nature, the band is taking everything to a new level. This album was recorded in two sessions at Blackbird Studios in Nashville and produced by the band with bassist and keyboardist Jon Eberhardt at the helm. It also marks the debut of vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe as the sole singing member, taking charge of both melodic and aggressive parts, delivering a powerful experience.

The first single, titled “Violent Nature”, is likely the most brutal, extreme, and wild track they've ever released. Yet, not everything is brutal; the single “Rain”, while far from a calm ballad, features a powerful, anthemic chorus that, compared to “Violent Nature”, almost feels like a lullaby, despite its themes of anger and unrest. This track reveals the duality of the album and the opposing forces that run through it.

Welcome to a new era of I Prevail. This is not only the best version of the band yet, but it is also an album filled with intent, passion, and energy.
