Inner Wave at The Guild

Inner Wave is an alternative indie-pop band known for their unique blend of psychedelic and synthwave sounds, incorporating indie rock elements, jazz chords, Latin beats, and smooth vocals. Their fifth full-length album, See You When I Get Back, marks a significant evolution for the California indie-rock outfit, showcasing their melodic instincts in a richer and sharper sound.

This album recalls the lush psych-pop of Tame Impala, the cool post-rock of The Sea and Cake, and the glowing synth fantasias of Neon Indian’s Alan Palomo. With 12 tracks that are unmistakably Inner Wave, the band is opening the door to new sonic possibilities.

See You When I Get Back is Inner Wave’s Nettwerk debut and follows their dreamy 2021 album, Apoptosis. Lead vocalist Pablo Sotelo reflects on their roots, stating, “We grew up playing house shows there and even shot our first music video there. Most of our childhood was spent skating around Gardena in between practices. It’s a town that’s been good to us.”
