Born into a musical family in Chicago, Isaiah's journey began at just four years old, strumming acoustic guitar with his siblings and evolving through the church choir to the electric guitar. By the age of fourteen, he was already stepping onto Chicago’s jazz and blues scene, a rite of passage that established his confidence.
His big break came in 2014 as a member of D’Angelo’s band Vanguard on the critically acclaimed album Black Messiah, which won the Grammy for Best R&B Album. This connection with D’Angelo and performances alongside legends like John Mayer and Chris Dave solidified his status in the music industry.
Sharkey's genre-blurring talent has led him to collaborate with icons like Paul Simon, earning a reputation as one of the most sought-after producers today. His influences range from Jimi Hendrix to George Benson, yet his sound remains unmistakably original and deeply authentic.
